Our client is seeking an EHS Leader who has the overall responsibility for all aspects of the environmental, health, and safety programs and regulation including emerging ESG initiatives.  In partnership with other departments this role is responsible for EHS performance metrics and continuous improvement.  Along with the Technical Department, the EHS Leader is responsible for the plant’s PSM/RMP programs.  The EHS leader is expected to participate in site continuous improvement efforts and to lead, guide, coach, and hold his team responsible for individual, team, and site performance in their areas of responsibility.

Job Requirements:

• BS in Engineering or related scientific/technical discipline required.
• 10+ years in Chemical Manufacturing setting required – 15 years preferred. 3+ years of proven supervisory skills leading a team of professionals required,3+ years’ experience leading an EHS program/team in a polymer synthesis/manufacturing setting is required.

• Strong problem-solving, negotiation, accountability, and diplomacy skills are required.
• Strong knowledge of chemical process safety and environmental regulations is required.
• Background in OSHA, PSM/RMP, ISO14001 and Environmental permitting is required.
